Frequently asked questions
What should I do before Eco Carpet Pro arrives?
– Ensure that power and water are on and accessible.
– Set your thermostat to around 70°-72° to minimize humidity and optimize airflow.
– Free up a parking spot close to the entrance with room for a van.
– Remove small or fragile items from the floor and any small furniture you would like moved during the clean.
– Large furniture will not be moved unless you have made a special request with the office.
– Remove toys, clothing, and clutter from the floors, and lift drapes from the floor.
– Remove any rugs that you would like us to clean underneath.
– Secure pets.
What should I do during the appointment?
– Point out areas of special concern and provide as much information as you can about stains or spots.
– Keep an eye on pets and small children.
– Discuss any additional desired services with the technicians, including stain protection.
– Avoid re-soiling wet spaces by only entering when dry, or by using booties.
– The technician will discuss any cost differences if additional services are chosen or if the services required differ from those on the over-the-phone estimate. We do not use bait-and-switch tactics, so unless something was overlooked in the estimate process, there should be little to no price deviation.
What should I do after the cleaning?
– Continue to minimize humidity and promote good airflow. Keep the AC/heat system and ceiling fans running until everything is dry.
– Remember that floors can be slippery until dry.
– Leave tabs under furniture legs for 24 hours; furniture stains and metal legs can easily stain carpet.
– Typical dry times:
- Carpet cleaning: 4-8 hours
- Quick dry carpet cleaning: 1-2 hours
- Tile & grout cleaning: 1-2 hours
– Your technician will discuss further details based on the services you chose.
Why is it important to set my thermostat fan to “ON”?
We strongly suggest setting your thermostat fan to the “ON” setting for at least 24 hours after the cleaning, as well as keeping the temperature in your home set to 69°-74°F to ensure proper drying.
